HARNESS RACING YOUTH LEAGUE HITS HARRINGTON
Warm temperatures greeted a dozen participants Sunday as it marked another year that the Harness Horse Youth Foundation (HHYF) hosted its youth camp at Harrington Raceway.
Headed by Ellen Taylor, HHYF's executive director, the youth camp has been a fixture at Harrington over the last decade. Campers will enjoy an education in harness racing, learning everything from cleaning stalls to jogging horses over the five day span. Karen Craft, Harrington Raceway's Director of Facilities, is also a member of the HHYF's Board of Trustees and plays an active role in the week's activities.
Established in 1976, the Harness Horse Youth Foundation addresses youth education throughout the United States and Canada. A charitable organization, the HHYF continues to enlarge and improve its programs.
