HRYL LEVEL 2 CAMP KICKS OFF SUMMER SCHEDULE

The Harness Racing Youth League season kicked off its 2007 season at the Delaware (OH) County Fairgrounds June 15 to 17.
Students aged 14 to 16 who participated represented Florida, Illinois, New York, and Pennsylvania. The long weekend included visits to Scioto Downs, Success Acres, jogging of Standardbreds (while the parents worked with the HRYL stable of Trotttingbreds), guest speakers of Jamie Rucker and Anne Chunko of USTA, lots of games and fun activities, and presentation of completion awards.
Due to the popularity of the first level of the summer camps, the “Level 2” event was designed to further the education of former participants while including the parents to allow them familiarity with their children’s new interest in harness racing.
