SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS FOR 2006 ANNOUNCED
The Harness Horse Youth
Foundation is pleased to announce its scholarship recipients for
2006.
Ariana Peluso from White
Lake, New York is the recipient of the $15,000 Gallo Blue Chip Scholarship.
Peluso is currently studying Animal Science at Cornell University
and hopes to become an equine veterinarian. She will receive her
check in conjunction with a celebratory dinner hosted by scholarship
sponsor Martin Scharf at The Meadowlands on December 2.
The $2,500 Curt Greene
Memorial Scholarship was given to Natalie Graham of Lynden, Ontario.
Graham is a freshman at University of Guelph, and like Peluso, she
is also pursuing a degree in veterinary medicine.
Matthew Howard, Michael
Coyle, and James Waddilove each received scholarships named in memory
of Vincent Abate. Howard, who received a $5,000 scholarship, is
attending Rutgers University and majoring in business. Coyle, also
enrolled at Rutgers University and studying engineering, received
$1,000. Waddilove received a $1,000 scholarship. He is attending
Wilkes University and studying criminal justice. Hillview Enterprises
sponsors the Abate Memorial scholarship.
Established in 1976,
the Harness Horse Youth Foundation addresses youth education throughout
the United States and Canada. A charitable organization, the HHYF
