HARNESS RACING YOUTH LEAGUE STABLE BIOGRAPHIES

Daddy's Jewel
Jewel has New York roots and this is her first year in the program. While raced extensively, she has lots to learn in her new career helping kids to learn about harness racing. She’s sure to be sweetheart given the accounts of her good care and attention from her former owners.

Dusty Sensation

Since she’s only 2 years old, Dusty will attend only a couple of camps – just enough to get her “feet wet” and see what it means to be a part of the HRYL stable. From the moment she was spotted as a baby, Dusty had a presence, a class, a regal quality. With a little experience that can only come with age, we hope she develops into a shining star.

Jessica Direct

Jessica has a year under her belt and is on her way to adjusting to the “summer life of a rock star” while traveling with HRYL. She’s a quick-study of people personalities and hasn’t turned into the diva yet so let’s hope she doesn’t turn into the fiery-red head stereotype.

Jandi's Tuff As Sky
We shortened his name to Tuffy – but he’s not! New to the program this year, Tuffy will have to let his feelings known as the summer progresses. He comes from northern Indiana with several road miles under his belt already.

Justaway
Justaway will be back having missed 2007 due to colic surgery. From all accounts, she’s ready to rumble as she missed her gang of friends, both human and equine. As one of the senior members of the HRYL team, Justaway expresses herself very well which makes her valuable and a good teacher of horse language.

PV Dot Com
“PV” has spunk and not a whole lot of patience. She’s kind and loving too. With TLC from her conditioner, we are hoping that PV develops a sense of trust and an understanding of what is expected from her behavior. If she “gets” that drift, she’ll be able to share her unique personality and comfortably come into her own role in the stable.

Sweet Karen
Karen is the stable’s blond – seeing as she’s palamino. She’s excitable and prances even at the walk. She loves attention…and eating…and she’s constantly on a restricted diet due to her chubbiness.

Coupe de Ville
Nicknamed “Cadillac” for his quick acceleration, Coupe has some mixed emotions as well as mixed parentage. He is the only “half-horse” in the stable and his physical appearance shows it. Most of the time, he is relaxed and at ease but when he gets excited, he doesn’t act his age as the old man in the stable. And, BTW, he prefers his hay served sopping wet please.
